Sorry i lost any interest in this, SM is so far behind current tech that it seems rather pointless
You are much better off just learning scripting in Kontakt ;)

After doing my research on how to carry out this kind of project and what the average cpu can handle, It became apparent that Synthmaker would not perform well as a candidate for this sort of thing. I have not lost interest in doing this but it will have to wait until the day that further development of Synthmaker would make this more feasible. For one we need disk streaming and there are many other reasons that this should wait. Maybe with Ruby if that ever happens, but note that maybe.

IMO-the RAM usage is the problem,
CPU should be OK.
RAM is a problem in Kontakt too.

Yes you are correct. looking at the files I tested on the cpu usage problem was for another reason, but we still need disk streaming.

Yes, I'd love disk streaming 4 recording.
The recording function in SM is so clunky.
And new news,
sounds like we won't get 64-bit.
So damn--
I keep using SM,
but hmmph, might be it's day is done

+1 NAS, attic, nix
I'm still debating to release my compressor, but if I do, I have to cut the asking price in half, due the likely chance that SM will never have 64bit OS...
