It seems your player loads EVERY file in the current folder into the ram?

Yes - it was part of a spec job I did for some one, and loading to RAM was desirable to achieve the spec.

Other then that its one great player!

BTW, if you unload the wav file before you save your schematic then the osm is only 770kB (use the clear button in the properties page).

now it plays from the start point to the end point regardless if loop is on or off, i think thats how you wanted it?

The forward and reverse now work by looping back around but only when loop is on, when loop is not on the problem remains , i've not found a way to fix it yet. Because if loop is off then it's not easy to get just the playback line to loop, because it only shows what the code is doing and if the code is not looping then neither is the playback line.

So i think maybe a better implementation of the forward and reverse is needed to make the problem easier to fix. (I'll look into it at some point).

It is a bit weird that if I hit the reverse button to play it in... reverse =)
It sounds quite crappy but if I instead play it in reverse buy dragging the playfader to the left it sounds perfect... its an easy fix to just skip that reverse code thing and make a button that reverses it my way instead.
But it all seems a bit odd. Maybe there is a simple mistake in the code. left over from earlier version maybe?

If not maybe we should try to make it work some other way?

And another Q...
If one would use this as a oscilator with some 1cycle osc waveforms at maybe 24bit 192kHz ... would that be any good? Would it be slower then using the normal toolbox osc?

I have been thinking about this for a while but not dared to try it.

hmm.. well i'm not sure if it will be better cpu wise than the SM's oscillators, theres quite a bit going on in in this now...... The CPU should be the same as it is now though for larger samples, using single cycles you'll just be saving RAM.

The tables for the osc's are 2 MEG and a single cycle waveform will be no where near that, So you should definetey save some memory.

Regarding the reverse thing, I'll have a proper look at that when i get chance.

Talk about old thread.

I made another one. Its a bit different and it actually clears itself when you hit the C button.
This way, if you hit clear before saving an osm you wont save the wavefile with the osm.
It also has a kind of consecutive playing. It will play the next wavefile when this on is done.
Can be turned off. It doesnt have start and end for loops but that could be added. Just didnt need it myself.
It has a zero return. Click it and it starts from 0. You can also grab the playline and move it to were you want it to play from.
