mousewheel over slider?

Postby tester on Mon Mar 26, 2012 3:59 pm

Is mousewheel over slider supported in latest SM or can be done somehow? Just switched to desktop (from touchpad to mouse) and realized that there is no mousescroll over sliders on exe app.

Sadly not. :(
The mouse wheel is still resolutely stuck with the single function of annoying the hell out of me by zooming the workspace when what i really wanted to do is to smoothly and efficiently scroll down my assembly code (but i forgot to click in the box first! )....
..."OMG, I'm getting way too far deep into SM! - it's as if the screen is sucking me in...AAaarrrgh!"
As I am the kind of person who often turns up at work with clothing worn inside out (not a fashion statement, I hasten to add), and am often seen craning my neck to see "around the other side" of my CAD models, you can see how these constant "Alice in Wonderland" changes of scale might become disturbing - I'm certain that I have seen what I knew to be perfectly normal measures of (possibly alcoholic) beverages appear to shrink almost to nothing before my eyes.
In-Out-In-Out is meant for the Oke Koke (and, you know, the other thing) - time SM got some rodent control!
3:) ;)
Feel free to use any schematics and algorithms I post on the forum in your own designs - a credit is appreciated (but not a requirement).

Shouldn't be possible to "catch" the mouse interaction with gui? Mouse actions like "over", "click", "drag" - are captured in SM, so there is probably some "port" through which mouse events come in. Long time ago, mouse had no wheels (at least here), and yet - external drivers were able to use if mouse had it. So is not that so, that mouse events could be captured (I don't know - via ASM?) and translated into schematic actions? I guess wheel produces some combination of other familiar signals?
