Panning / Balance Control

Postby needle on Wed Sep 13, 2006 8:03 pm

This has been brought up before, but the example OSMs are either dead links or the picture schematics don't seem to work for me.

I'm trying to create a knob that will pan the sound left/right. Here's what the basic synth looks like:

And inside the "Pan Control" module is..

This is based on an example Stefan posted previously, but it doesn't work at all. What am I doing wrong here?

You've got a left-right pan there but you're adding the signals back together through the same output.

Make a second output and have a second poly-to-mono

(Alternately you can do this after the poly to mono in the mono realm.)

Sorry to bug you again, but if I wanted to place the balance control in front of the main poly-to-mono before the output, where would I add the second poly to mono?

@ MyCo:

are the Vol/Vol and Bal/Bal. identical modules?

It's a newbie question - you know

I tried to replace the upper with the toolkit one but i can only connect the right out Channel - NOT the left?!

The are identical.

To the second point: I don't understand, the Amp module in the schematic is the one from the toolbox

The first output of the new balance module is a mono-output, change it to stream or poly stream.

To do this:
1. go inside the module
2. right klick on the icon of the first output-link
3. select the first sine-icon

then you can go outside the module and connect it.
