synthmaker and image processing

Postby tester on Sat Mar 17, 2012 8:55 pm

I have a question to all who deal with graphics. To what degree - synthmaker can be used for image processing? Automated processing (like color processing) according to math formulas, plus maybe some limited cursor selecting on images, plus - comparative processing on image sequences.
Need to take a break? Looking for relaxing sounds? I have something right for you.

It's pretty limited... or at least not very practical to do major image processing.

There is only one primitive which processes image data in it's entirety and that's the Bitmap Area primitive with the colour matrix input.

Other than that you'd have to process pixel-by-pixel with the get/set pixel primitives and that's likely too slow to be of any real use.

Ouch.
I'm curious if they improved it in flowstone.
Otherwise - max msp?
I'm looking for something like... SM ;-)
