SFZ -> SF2 support?

Postby Cyforce on Sat Feb 25, 2012 12:09 am

Just a quick idea, but i guess not so bad.
So far the new sfz support didn`t work so great, loaded sfz-files will be played not on the right octave, relative high cpu usage.
So why not replacing/or adding sf2? It`s smaller(limited to 16 bit wav) and a monolith file format. Would be a great addition to sfz.

And i guess if sfz is already now implented, sf2 shouldn`t be a big time eater ;)

Good and better. SF2 can be masked into a "proprietary" or "masked" format.
But, should SM have a support for streaming disk.... more CPU efficent and Memory less way to play any kind of mem arrays.
