Middle Mouse button & Mouse Wheel

Postby infuzion on Fri Feb 10, 2006 7:45 pm

I often wish I can add middle mouse button & wheel support to the VSTs I'm developing. Support for 4th & 5th mouse buttons would be neat too, but not as widespread as the middle.

Not a high priority, but the MMB should be easy to add before 1.0 IMHO. I can see how the wheel would be trickier & perhaps post 1.0.

cheers :)

Another vote to having MMB/Wheel support if it is simple to add :)

Actually, the wheel behavior seems kind of odd to me (or maybe mine's a lost soul :) ). I'm so used to it moving the view area as in Acrobat & other apps, I forget that it zooms (and I think moves) in SM. It would be muchos more convenient to move than zoom (or maybe a ctrl or shift - wheel can zoom) would be cool. I  the idea of being able to turn a knob (and possibly a slider while at it) with the wheel.

Aloha,
Doug

Another vote, and i think there should be a module which recieves the data from the mouse wheel so we can connect it to a pitchbend or mod wheel ect on a synth.
