Sum Int Array

Postby TomC on Mon Apr 14, 2008 10:26 pm

Yep,
either I'm blind or it's really missing.

Tired of rounding errors...

c'mon! just connect two Int Arrays to a common Int Array input and the elements will add automagically.

BTW: in a similar case I used the AddToFloatArray module to add 0.5 to each element and converted from Float to Int after the FloatArrayGet

I think he means a sum of all ints in the array... so the out is only one int, not an int array.

There are many int array things missing, eg: Max/Min, sort, switch(!!!)...

Exactamente Image

Try to add all integers from an integer array and compare that mess to the Sum Float Array primitive. Quite a difference.

Green code module anyone?

ah, ok. Indeed lots of things missing on IntArray.

The baby already had a name (LUA), but then it was forgotten somewhere somehow.

If I understand you right, you think it' d be a good idea
to mention LUA from time to time
so the outsim guys won't forget it, right?

Hehehe...

oh guys, I think I will use it even more than the audio code itself,

Operations on arrays are very limited ATM,
In a project I had to perform REAL acrobatics just to shift properly a X-step pattern left, right, up and down... and it has still some bugs and slow downs in some sections...aaaargh :(

+1 vote for IntArray operations - like those of FloatArray. Especially the Sum. Went searching for this today...seems a glaring omission

I believe that Float Array maths work just as well, just not as optimal.

Precisely. Isn't it all about optimization? :)
