LoopDrive version 4

Hi!

I've updated my LoopDrive plugin again. I've changed a lot, and I don't remember everything, because the update took 1 year

Some of the changes that I remember:
- complete optimization -> reduced CPU (30% less)
- added patterns selector, you can have up to 8 different patterns that you can play directly with Midi-Notes (C4 and upwards)
- replaced LFO by a step LFO that is a little bit different than the one from S|M (has more features and disables itself when there nothing to read)
- different interpolation types for the slicer
- new GUI for the fx-routing
- the sequencer GUI has been completely rebuilt, now you can use dragging to place slices, and mouseover shows the selected slice in the wave display
- right click on the sequencer mutes a step
... and so on

Can't say I've tested it but I've played around with it enough to be very impressed.

I'm not really into using slicers myself but there are some UI stuff on here that is so well done I can't help wondering how you got it done in S|M. The wave-display, for example; I know what you'd have to do in the broadest terms to get it done and it's daunting to think about.

Then there's all the subtle little things you might not spot at first (and I'm sure I've not seem them all yet) like the effects ordering interface.

This is first rate work.

Thanks... I'd forgotten about that and I never DL'd it. Just a quick glance inside shows MyCo's usual level of clean and efficient authoring style. You'd almost think it was all simple until you start seeing how complex each of the pieces are.

Thank you very much. I think when there is nothing to repair in this version, I'll release it including OSM for the examples area of the S|M Website (there is still version 1 which is far away from this version). But I guess I'll wait til Malc comes with a stable version of 1.1.3

Hello MyCo,
Very nice update !!!
The addition of the pattern selector a la Rebirth style with midi control is perfect and very handy, as well as the copy and paste funtion !
The GRP in modulation matix is clearly the best thing to create some weird and twisted sequences; It reminds me very much of quantum FX ....very cool !!!
Your system of Fx routing is so....ingenious, and so creative for the user. It allows to try plenty of different settings in a snap.... nice !!!
Only a few things on the down side though (but very minor):
- pattern selection starts at C5 on my pc, not C4, so I had to search for a while...
- the reverse function should not be included in the default random, IMO .... I think it messes up too much the psychological musical stream ( dunno if I can say that but you get the idea) and should only be added by user maunally or with a separate random to be a bit more subtle ...
- too bad we cannot save entire presets...(sample recall at loading preset)
- after saving, loading the saved pattern IMO, should also recall the amount for each parameter in the modulation matrix, same for enable/disable modules (filter on/off...)...
I'll get into more indepth testing later on...

Has anyone tested it already?

soory but i´ve good no good news. just downloaded V4 and loaded it in ableton live 7, pressed play
and played a little with the step sequencer. crash. but no error message or something, ableton just closed
but the loop keeps playing ( it is even playing NOW, i think i have to restart my pc to solve this ).
could be of course a problem related to my computer but i just want to let you now!

FALSE ALARM i tried several ways to reproduce this problem but all i had was
one hour of fun with this plugin ,
tried to use it in Ableton Live in every way i could imagine and got no crash or
something. this is perfect for the kind of music i make. thx so much!

Hey there i have just downloaded this plugin & absolutely love it! Yhanx soooo much for your hard work big RESPECT! Have one downside though & was hoping you could help. When i load up a loop then save my project in fl studio then reopen my project my loop is no longer loaded in LoopDrive? How can i fix that prob? Any idea's?
