Hi, i see PACK and UNPACK is very fantastic regarding processing.
Not just left and right channel processing at one time.
I use it in another too, it reduce CPU so much.
my suggestion is, what about if the pack/unpack are not just 4 input/output. Or maybe up to 10 io.

The reason there's four is because that's how many SSE channels there are... more than four and you stop getting the benefit.

All SSEx are 4 32bit channels, or 2 64bit channels in SSE2+. 8 channel 32bit won't come until next year's CPUs with VEX. SM doesn't even have SSE2 supportyet.

8*16 / 2*64 on xmm1 tm xmm5 would be sweet.
