Maybe you could post an mp3 (or link), so that we can hear what sound you are trying to make - when we hear it, the sound can give us a clue what kind of modulation/distortion etc. will make the sound that you need.
Feel free to use any schematics and algorithms I post on the forum in your own designs - a credit is appreciated (but not a requirement).
