Wierd midi problem.

Postby machielve on Fri Mar 23, 2012 10:57 am

Hello all. I have a problem with some MIDI signals, i have already asked it over at the general section ( http://synthmaker.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11295 ) and they said i would be better if i asked it here at the help section.

So here i go again.

Attached is the NRPN maker for the delay depth. It receives at value between 0 and 127 and creates a NRPN message out of it. There are 3 ways to send that value.
1. Use the mouse to turn the knob.
2. Use a midi controller or DAW automation to turn the knob.
3. Use a midi controller or DAW automation to send the CC value directly in the NRPN maker.

But the only way to get midi out of the NRPN maker is when i use the 1ste methode. And where it goes wrong is in the midi event module. Before that, it is the correct value when i use alle the methods, but after the midi event module it only changes when i use methode 1.

The trigger delay module could be causing problems - don´t know if it´s causing all the problems you have, but it´s trouble indeed.

It has to do with how the threads are managed in SM. The the fact is that when the timer primitive receives a trigger from an incomign MIDI signal, it won´t output any trigger, so it won´t trigger the third MIDI event primitive.

Search for "de-threader" in the forum, that should solve this particular problem, and maybe the whole issue.
