HELP: Blinking Editable Text

Hi, I need to create this module to use as signal presence alarm for a mixer track. I would like to have the name of the channel blinking when signal flows. I tried using a basic component modified by me but I had some problems with the trigger.
I did the same with a led control module with good results.
I didn't find anything useful in the forum: any suggestions/schematic examples? Please, help me!!!
