Velocity curve for one key

Hi,

I need a simple MIDI effect to change velocity curve of one selected key (because my HW controller sends too big velocity value for C2 key). It is possible to do this in SynthMaker?

welcome to SM
yes that is possible. basically you need a "note equal" module to filter out a single note .
the note equal module accepts pitch values only so you need to convert your notename (c2) to a pitch value before.
if you now put a midi spliiter after that you will get what you´re looking after: the velocity value on data 2 output.

but another question: is there no way to fix this issue by e.g. programming a new preset flle or something?
it can´t be the only way to fix this 1 note issue. what device is it exactrly if i may ask?

Of course you could expand this to something that maps velocity curves for each note.

Thanks, it could be great for future corrections. But one more question -- when I use the module in my VST host (Cantabile Performer) he does not remember last settings and after restart I must set it again. How can I fix it?

Also good to do a forum search for Preset Manager - there are many posts with good tips for how to use it best.

Another tip - when you make an export (vst or exe), the settings from the SM editing window are stored also. This will make the default settings for when you create a new song etc. in your VST host.

Yeah... I was going to say that for this use this might be best of all... set the value in SynthMaker so that the problem key approximates the desired behaviour and then save the dll... it will use that value whenever it opens.
