sliced loop player plugin

Postby MyCo on Sat Mar 04, 2006 6:00 am

Hi !

I want to present you my new SM-Plugin:
Image

Name: Loop-drive
Version: 9
Vendor: me :-)

As you can see in the topic, it is a loop-player, which can slice a loop into parts, and you can re-order the slices. I also added some basic FX, LFO and an envelope generator. With the envelope generator you can set attack and decay time for all slices.
The FX unit is a type of modular, you can choose the order in which the FX are attached.

For this VST I took some examples from this forum, eg. the Wave-player, but I don't remember all of them, and so if someone finds his parts in it, please write here, so I can add the names to a credit list.

You can download the DLL here:
http://www.music-drive.com/loop-drive.zip

And the OSM is in the Early Adopters board.

I guess there are a lot of bugs in it, so I need some help to find and clear them. Especially with the problem "saving the filename as VST parameter" I need some help.

To the "license" of this:
Your are allowed to use the graphics from the buttons and knobs. But please don't use my backround image, because that's the backround I want to use for all of my stuff :-) You can use parts of my schematics in commercial plugins, but please give me a credit. It is not allowed to sell the whole plugin as it is.

Thanks!

Looks very interesting! I'd made something a lot simpler a while ago, which loaded a .wav and then assigned 'slices' of this to different midi keys - but this is looking way cool :)

well, at the moment the slice grid isn't stored in presets, also it seemes that the selectors aren't stored. May be that I can handle that. But the problem with the filename is a bigger thing...

I've got a new version now, which I've done last night :D
Here it is:
http://music-drive.com/Loop-Drive10.exe

Well, it is an executable program now, but that's not all. It also has a basic synthesizer now, and the main area is scrollable.

Very nice plug, MyCo. Through trial and error, I figured out that a midi note 36 starts the plug running, while a CC64 stops it.

Any other control secrets we ought to know?

:)
